"I Hear"

"I Hear"

To my younger years, a nuisance I was
I’ve done what was trivial, I didn’t what I must
Trouble was my broth, and menace was my tea
Still, I was a child, only in discovery
But you! You who’s mind was tapered
Not bothering to ask, quickened by your words
How was I to tell, the root of my strokes
You pitch with unguided voice, to stray as my ghost
Define your aim, so I may answer back
Talk, not to the air, if it’s me you attack
Now young no more, I still see your tell
Cloaked in holiness, but you plant seeds of hell
I have asked never, for what could be done
To halt your vocal march, but know time will come
I keep in silence, but be warned by the stained
For I am a man, and only animals can be tamed
